To be a paid extra on a movie it is strongly advised that you have an agency looking after payroll, administration, bookings, wardrobe calls and locations.
That way clients are contacting one person, not 100s.
Joining an agency does not necessarily mean you will be selected as the agency is your professional admin and booking system. Anyone can be an extra. Any shape, size, background, hair, look, race, abilities. Every age. Every human. Doing nothing will get you nowhere. Join and if you like it after a year… renew.
